Post-it note

Just a little pre-workday Posca post-it note sketching to keep me thinking... sometimes unexpected things work.

It's rainy and cold, and the shortest day of the year. It's also the birthday of the best guy ever in the world.
I think my obsession with cacti and washed out vintage artwork hues is galloping way out of control, but at least it lends a bit of vibrancy to an otherwise-dreary midweek in Melbourne.
Enjoy.

I don't know how Alexandra Valenti works those beautiful eerie hues into her photographs, but I'm glad she does.
This spellbinding images, part of the Vessel to Venus shoot, were styled by the Sisters of the Black Moon, more beautiful witchy women who offer eccentricities for the shadows of your soul... here.

I love these dreamy, whimsical photos from Flo Morrissey -- I'm a big fan of film when it's used well, with all its peculiarities capitalised on in a creative way... love me some light leaks and hallucinatory-double exposure ghost tricks.
Check out more here.

Dead winter

I'm so glad that the winter solstice (and Bay's birthday) is coming up soon... I can't wait for the days to start getting longer again. I've been trying to fit in some drawing wherever I can, so I've hardly seen the sun.
I'll have lots to share with you soon -- a few fun projects are underway -- and I'll have even more once the days get longer and the spring adventures start!

(Also, I've put lots of new prints up here, and I hope to print a few poster-prints in the coming weeks)

Hannah Metz (The Loved One) by Shae Acopian Detar.
Just continuing my love of creative photographers who capture that beautiful other-worldly mystic-woman vibe.
Shae is incredible and, cool as they are, I think these are just test shots + a sneak peek...
